No commentsVideo Marketing- Increase your Rate of Conversion!
Video marketing is something you should take a look at and I’ll show you what you can do with it. Bloggers and online marketers have been using video for some time. Some even say that it is a better way than others to convert customers. There are many, many kinds of videos up on the internet and some may be helpful to you while others may not. You need to take a look at what you need. Here are some types of videos:
- Tutorials
- Comedy videos
- Gossip videos
- Videos that have particular pitch
- Self help and self improvement videos
- Movie clips
There are many more as well. You will find that most of these videos online are fairly impressive. They often have nice visuals and good sound too. But one thing I came to realize as well was that videos require the online user to click on the play button which is an additional action. Video marketing can really be beneficial to you and your organization. Here are some of its pros:
- If you have a blog then it is a great way to make users more attracted and for readers to stay longer.
- It allows your readers to view you and see who you are in person therefore bringing you closer.
- Videos can help present your message very clearly, better than just typed words and pictures.
- Videos can help develop high credibility for your business
This doesn’t mean that video marketing is perfect. Check out the cons of video marketing:
- It can be time consuming.
- One needs to learn complex programs in order to edit videos.
- You will be surprised to find that not all readers end up clicking the play button. You can track this to verify.
It wasn’t that long ago when only large companies with loads of money were the only ones who could afford video marketing. These videos were often made by advertising agencies and media companies. They involved a rather high cost and comprised corporate and branding promotional messages. The audience for this kind of advertising isn’t really that big and therefore the returns on this kind of marketing are rather poor. Of course the ad agencies and media companies did end up with big profits.
But that was the past. The present scenario has seen new technologies converge and make the production of online videos much easier. This has also made it cheaper and within the reach of the average person. The turning points in this video revolution are:
- Broadband Access and its Spread: Broadband high-speed internet gained popularity as the costs involved fell. This enticed people and gave the average home user access to a high-speed net connection. This in turn resulted in the ability of the average user to watch high quality streaming media becoming easily possible.
- Macromedia Flash Player: Macromedia is a company now owned by Adobe. Their latest Flash players have the ability to watch highly compressed yet high quality videos. Flash video or FLV could now be hosted on no-frills servers by average webmasters. Flash player is something most computers have as it is available for Windows and Linux for both PCs and Macs.
- Youtube: One of the biggest reasons for the spread of online videos has to be Youtube. The dramatic rate at which Youtube grew meant that it has become on of the most popular sites ever. Couple that to the fact that it offered users a free platform for putting up videos on the internet and you have a winning formula. You didn’t even need complex programs, lots of skill or anything. All you need is a video clip and the internet to share it with millions online.
- Improvements in Hardware: While software and the internet made it simpler to edit videos and to post them improvements in hardware made it possible to make them. Firstly the quality of Camcorders kept getting better while their prices dropped. Also you could connect them to your computers directly and computers themselves began offering better graphics for less.
- Affordable Video Editing Software: As it became easier to make good videos it also became easier to edit them and produce great final versions too. Competition between the big players in the market led to Microsoft giving away Windows Movie Maker for free. Apple went all out as well and bundled iMovie on the Mac. Adobe also allowed users to buy the more affordable cut-down Premiere Elements thus enabling users to create high quality content at home.
Therefore it is evident that video marketing has become easier with the advent of technologies. This and the affordability and increase in quality of both hardware and software mean that one doesn’t have to rely on an expensive advertising agency for the production of videos. It can be done in-house by spending a little time, getting the right equipment and having the desire.
No commentsBe A Proud Membership Site Owner
Hello Guys and girls,
Oh! the membership site thingy has really got into me.. I am truly amazed to see how so many people with minimal experience are getting into the trend and making serious money with membership sites. The non techie that I am , I could never imagine myself going beyond owning a blog.. But how wrong I was until, I stumbled upon memberfire.
It’s developed by my good friend cum business associate Ian Del Carmen( yes our good ol’ pinoy Internet Marketer).I was quite sure I would not be able achieve any success with it either. But I was so wrong. I had tried using other stuff ( i will not reveal the names ofcourse!) for creating membership sites but I must say using membershipfire is as easy as falling off a log. Yes take it from an absolutely technologically challenged person ( that’s me :D)
I could not wait any longer.. I had to tell all of you..my dear blog readers about this wonderful creation by Ian.The site is still in its pre launch days but I have been one of the lucky few 100 who got a chance to play with the fire .
Now, I am ready to finally start my membership that I dreamt of launching quite a few months back . I didnt have the right tool back then. Now that I have it , I am not going to start 1 membership site but 2.Yippeeee!!! I can’t get more excited …It’s not the prospect of making money that’s making high.. but the whole idea of setting up and running a membership site..
I will definitely keep you posted about my progress with the membership sites..
I am Taking Action
Hi all,
I had started this blog on 1st Jan’08. I definitely had a purpose of launching this blog but if you take a close look at it , I had done very very little to make this blog work for me. I had been swamped with projects and as a result of which I totally neglected this dear blog of mine.
However, last week, I decided.. NO! I can’t let this blog turn into another ghost town. I had 2 blogs earlier, but I had to close them down because I was not able to give any time to them. This time, I am definitely not going to do the same and from today onwards i.e. 19th feb’08 , I am going to make it a point to post in blog everyday and work towards achieving the goal that I had set while launching this blog back in jan, this year.
So, in order to make my blog purposeful, I have added some interesting widgets ( MyblogLog, Blogrush) that you can find in almost all successful blogs today!
Also, I have integrated the Statcounter code that will help me keep a track on the traffic flow to my blog.
If you have any suggestions or advice on how to make this blog more interactive and useful, please feel free to let me know.
It’s time for me to finish a project and then work on my upcoming eBook.
Thanks and all the best to you guys,
Dudette
No commentsHow To Get Affiliates To Promote More Actively 2? Please Share Your Tips!

The Idea:
I want to make a compilation of the best tips for marketers running an affiliate program and I’m going to need your input!
(Work Title: How To Get Your Affiliates To Promote Your Products More Actively?)
What I’m looking for are useful answers to the above question. No full length articles, simply some (practical) tips that can be used by other marketers to give their affiliate program a boost.
What’s in it for you?
The most useful tips will be bundled in a report/ebook. If your tip makes it, your name and link will be published with it. Once the report/ebook is published, it’ll start driving free targeted traffic to your site.
If I feel it would be helpful to others to dig deeper into a certain tip, I might do an interview with the person that submitted that tip.
Anyway - the report/ebook is the main goal, and I’ll see where it goes from there. Let’s just say your tips will bring you free targeted traffic.
And isn’t that what we’re all looking for?
Please send me your tips & ideas - you can do so here

How To Get More Affiliates Promoting Your Product(s)
Everybody knows most affiliates are pretty lazy.
They don’t want to spend their time creating
promo tools for the products they’re promoting.
(And who can blame them?)
And since your success is directly determined
by their success, you’ll have to do it for them!
By giving your affiliates ready-to-use affiliate
promotion tools with their affiliate links
already embedded, the number of affiliates
actively promoting your products will increase,
which will - of course - have a positive
effect on the number of sales you make.
What should you be creating for your affiliates to use?
* Text links
* Email Copies
* Signature Ads
* PopUp Ads
* Image Ads
* eZine Ads
* Top Sponsor Ads
Optional:
* Ribbon ads
* Page Peel Ads
* Articles
* Brandable reports/ebooks
…
Where should your affiliate resource section be?
Your affiliate resource section should be somewhere
on your website, preferrably as a page calles affiliate.php
You can choose to make it available to everyone,
or to paid customers only. That’s completely up to
you to decide.
How to create a professional affiliate resource page
fast and easy?
Assuming you know how to build web pages, you could
use your HTML-editor to create a page to display all
available promo tools. It’ll probably take some time
to get the page to look like you want it to look.
Or - if you don’t know how to build a web page, or
if you just want to save time, you could use a
program like ‘Promo Page Generator‘ to create
a professional-looking affiliate resource page.

Look look.. What’s that lunatic up to once again! Suthan is back and is now more ruthless
I was lurking around in a forum and suddenly I stumbled upon a link – www.yoursimplystupid.com – quite an appalling domain! I was sure it would be another weird website with no substance in it and boy! Can I ever be wrong?!?!?
When I clicked the link, I was taken into a horrible, ugly looking website. Not only the website looked pathetic but the sales page was even worse.
However, I tried hard and managed to read the page till the end (it was really difficult tolerating the lingo throughout!!!)
Halfway through, and I still couldn’t understand what’s the goal of the website and I did not want to waste my time any further! I simply navigated out of that webpage.
But you know what’s funny? I found myself going back to that website the next day and to my utter amazement I did something that I never thought I would do…
“I PUSHED THE BUTTON” and even made the payment.Arrrghhh
Oh! Yes.. I submitted myself to that bugger who called me stupid.
I felt humiliated. I felt frustrated. I cursed myself.
I didn’t want to read what I got. I was sure it would be another piece of crap.
But But But…I was proved wrong! (Oh no… not again)
What I got was an absolute eye-opener… and I am truly glad I grabbed the deal.
Yes yes… I know now that I was not that stupid for PUSHING THE BUTTON.
This is the best investment ever : YourSimplyStupid.com

Anyways, a lot of client and associates talk about bum marketing a lot. Some have benefitted a lot , some are still confused about how it works.. etc etc

I can’t really say I know every thing about bum marketing yet, but I am educating myself on that. I have started with it. I will definitely keep a journal on my progress and if it works for me, don’t worry.. you will get yet another product based on my journal, so after my current one is launched.
